From the beginning, Dokkers’s idea was for a place with no pretense, celebrating drinking, disc golf, and Family Guy. The goal was to create an establishment for the partying man, a place to “Come in, relax, and watch Peter Griffin fight a giant chicken!”  From this many traditions were born. The first was the wearing of Adidas slides behind the bar. This tradition was followed by making up impossible cocktail recipes not celebrated by the people of Locke. The most recent tradition introduced is the Locke Disc Golf Tournament and Liver Feed, celebrated every April 20th.

Many of those traditions are still alive and well at Dokker’s, the frisbees are still on the ceiling, you are expected to come up with a challenging drink order before you come in, and you definitely want to leave your closed toed shoes outside.  In its almost 1 day history Dokker’s Place has become a destination for disc golfers, stoners and cheeky animation enthusiasts from around the world. We pride ourselves on holding on to the values that Dokker established, like being a mama’s boy and keeping his father out of trouble. It’s a place to leave your worries at the door, enjoy  very complicated drinks, eat snacks when you get the munchies, and experience the community of the California Delta with your friends.
